Choice Beef Jerky was founded by Carol O'Brien in Perth, Western Australia, in 2003. Carol was playing around with ideas of making a tasty beef jerky for personal consumption, mainly for her children, who just loved her beef jerky. After she realised that her beef jerky was being eaten faster than she could make it in her kitchen at home, she was persuaded by her family to take it to the market. The rest is history. Carol now has branches in Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales as well as distributors in every state of Australia.
